IT Coordinator.   Lonesome Pine Regional Library is recruiting for an IT Coordinator to provide standard, routine technical services for Library computer hardware, office equipment, and software including hardware configuration and installation, problem troubleshooting, maintenance, application software installation, and performing related duties as required.  The position also acts as liaison and support contact for technical issues with the Library’s integrated library system (ILS) vendor and IT technical support and Internet provider contractors.  The work requires general working knowledge of computer systems operations and equipment and network connectivity.  The position may require a combination of day, evening, weekend, and on-call work.  The position will start as a 24-hour part time position while training with the IT Coordinator. The position will become a full-time position starting April 1, 2026.  Associates degree or computer technical training or college course work in a computer-related field is desired.  Experience and proven skills in various computer applications.  Experience in library computer support is preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and through the written word, as well as possess the ability to adapt and work well within a constantly changing environment.  Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.  Satisfactory reference and criminal background check are a condition of employment. Programming Specialist.   Lonesome Pine Regional Library is recruiting for a part-time (28 hrs/wk) position to connect young people with books through book-related programs at the Coeburn Community Library in Coeburn, VA.  This position creates, implements, and presents branch and community programs for children and youth.  Bachelor’s or Associate degree in early child development or elementary education field, or combination of relevant post-secondary education and work experience required. Previous experience working with children/youth in a day care, preschool, or public school/library setting preferred.  Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and through the written word, as well as possess the ability to adapt and work well within a constantly changing environment.  Must possess excellent computer skills as well as a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.  Satisfactory reference and criminal background check are a condition of employment.
